1. Company Information
Wangler Electric is a licensed, second-generation electrical contracting company led by Reagan Wangler, Owner and Master Electrician, serving the South Okanagan including Osoyoos, Penticton, Oliver, OK Falls, Keremeos, Rock Creek, Princeton, and surrounding Similkameen and Boundary areas. We also serve Langley, West Kelowna, and Kelowna depending on project scope.

2. Services
2.1 Scope of Services
Wangler Electric provides the following electrical and related services:
- Residential electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs
- Commercial electrical contracting for offices, retail, hospitality, and light industrial facilities
- Electrical renovation services including rewiring, panel upgrades, and new circuit installation
- Home automation design and installation (smart lighting, climate control, integrated control systems using Control4, Lutron RadioRA 3, Google Nest, and similar platforms)
- Solar panel electrical system integration and installation
- EV (electric vehicle) charger installation for residential properties
- LED retrofit and energy-efficient lighting upgrades
- Gemstone Lights permanent outdoor LED lighting installation
- Planning, permitting, and final walkthrough support for all applicable projects
2.2 Service Area
Our primary service area covers the South Okanagan, including Osoyoos, Penticton, Oliver, OK Falls, Keremeos, Rock Creek, Princeton, Mt. Baldy, and surrounding Similkameen and Boundary areas. We also serve Langley and travel to West Kelowna and Kelowna depending on project scope. Contact us to discuss travel availability for projects outside these areas.
2.3 Licensing and Compliance
All electrical work is performed in accordance with the BC Electrical Code, the Safety Standards Act (BC), and applicable regulations administered by the Technical Safety BC (TSBC). Wangler Electric holds TSBC Licence #LEL0210312. All work requiring permits will be permitted and inspected as required by law.
3. Estimates and Pricing
3.1 Free Quotes. We provide free, no-obligation estimates for all projects. Quotes are based on the scope of work described at the time of assessment and are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Final Pricing. Final pricing is confirmed in the written estimate or work order. If additional scope, hidden conditions, or code compliance requirements are identified during the work, we will contact you for approval before proceeding with any changes that affect cost.
3.3 Travel Fees. A travel fee may apply for projects located outside our standard service area. This will be communicated clearly in the quote prior to scheduling.
3.4 Permit Fees. Where required, permit fees are the responsibility of the Client unless otherwise agreed in writing. We will advise you if a permit is required for your project.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Deposit. A deposit may be required to confirm scheduling, particularly for larger projects or projects requiring the procurement of specialty materials. Deposit amounts will be specified in the quote or service agreement.
4.2 Final Payment. The remaining balance is due upon project completion and final walkthrough, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.3 Late Payment. Invoices not paid within thirty (30) days of the due date may be subject to a service charge of 2% per month (24% per annum) on the outstanding balance.
4.4 Disputed Invoices. Any billing disputes must be raised in writing within seven (7) days of receiving the invoice. Undisputed amounts remain due on the original payment date.
5. Scheduling and Timelines
We will provide an estimated project timeline at the time of booking. Timelines are subject to change due to permit processing times, material lead times, weather conditions, unforeseen site conditions, client-requested changes, or other factors beyond our control. We will communicate any changes promptly and work to minimize disruption to your schedule.
6. Client Responsibilities
To ensure efficient and safe service delivery, the Client is responsible for:
- Providing safe, unobstructed, and timely access to all areas of the property where work is to be performed
- Disclosing any known hazards, pre-existing electrical issues, or relevant property conditions prior to commencement
- Obtaining strata or HOA approval where required prior to scheduling work
- Ensuring that all pets, children, and unauthorized personnel are kept clear of work areas during the project
- Being available or designating an authorized representative for walkthroughs, decisions, and sign-off at key project milestones
- Providing accurate property and contact information for permit applications where required
7. Warranty
7.1 Workmanship Warranty. Wangler Electric warrants that all electrical work will be performed in compliance with applicable BC Electrical Code standards and in a professional manner consistent with industry best practices. Our workmanship warranty covers defects in installation for a period of one (1) year from the date of project completion, unless a different period is specified in the work order.
7.2 Materials and Equipment Warranty. Equipment and materials supplied and installed by Wangler Electric are subject to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty. We will assist clients in processing manufacturer warranty claims where applicable.
7.3 Warranty Exclusions. Our workmanship warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modifications, or alterations made after project completion
- Damage resulting from acts of God, flooding, fire, or other external events
- Failures caused by pre-existing electrical conditions not disclosed at the time of service
- Normal wear and tear of components over time
- Issues arising from the Client’s failure to follow post-installation instructions or recommended maintenance schedules
7.4 Warranty Claims. To submit a warranty claim, contact us using the information in Section 13 within the warranty period.
8. Liability
8.1 Wangler Electric carries comprehensive general liability insurance and complies with WorkSafeBC requirements. Our liability for any claim arising out of our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
8.2 We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing electrical defects or code violations not identified or disclosed prior to commencement of work
- Damage caused by the Client’s failure to follow post-installation or maintenance instructions
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, data loss, or lost income
- Delays caused by permit processing, material shortages, weather, or other factors beyond our reasonable control
9. Home Automation and Smart Systems
9.1 Third-Party Platforms. Wangler Electric installs and integrates third-party smart home systems including Control4, Lutron RadioRA 3, Google Nest, and similar platforms. The performance, availability, and software updates of these platforms are governed by their respective manufacturers and are outside our control.
9.2 Network Requirements. Proper functioning of home automation and smart systems depends on the Client’s network infrastructure (internet connectivity, router performance, Wi-Fi coverage). We are not responsible for system performance issues caused by insufficient or unstable network conditions.
9.3 Future Compatibility. Smart home technology evolves rapidly. Wangler Electric is not responsible for compatibility issues arising from future software updates, platform changes, or the discontinuation of third-party products after installation.
10. Solar and EV Charger Installations
10.1 Solar Systems. Solar panel electrical integration is performed based on the system specifications and property assessment completed at the time of engagement. The Client is responsible for ensuring that structural, roofing, and site conditions are suitable for solar installation. Wangler Electric is responsible only for the electrical integration components of the system.
10.2 EV Chargers. EV charger installations are performed based on the Client’s selected charger and the existing electrical panel capacity. If the electrical panel requires an upgrade to support the EV charger load, this will be identified in the quote and requires separate authorization and cost approval.
10.3 Utility and Rebate Programs. Wangler Electric is a FortisBC Trade Ally and BC Hydro Power Smart partner. We will provide documentation to support eligible rebate applications; however, approval of rebates is at the sole discretion of the utility provider and is not guaranteed.
11. Intellectual Property
All content published on our website and marketing materials, including photographs, project descriptions, and system designs, is the property of Wangler Electric. You may not reproduce or use our content without prior written consent.
12. Accessibility Commitment (Accessible Canada Act)
Wangler Electric is committed to the principles of the Accessible Canada Act (S.C. 2019, c. 10), which aims to identify, remove, and prevent barriers for persons with disabilities across Canada. Our commitment includes:
- Providing accessible formats of this Agreement and project documentation upon request (e.g., large print, plain language summaries)
- Ensuring our website meets WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards to the extent practicable
- Training our team to assist clients with disabilities throughout the inquiry, installation, and follow-up process
- Accommodating reasonable accessibility requests during on-site consultations, installations, and walkthroughs
- Maintaining an accessible feedback process for clients to report accessibility barriers

13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website at wanglerelectric.ca with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
